Josie is Your Rancho Coastal Humane Society Pet This Week

Someone dumped her.

(RCHS - Mark Viguri)

Josie is pet of the week at your Rancho Coastal Humane Society. She’s a 7-year-old, 47-pound, female, Boxer mix.

Josie was left in the night drop at an animal shelter. After that she was transferred to Rancho Coastal Humane Society through the Friends of County Animal Shelters (FOCAS) program.

She wants to jump up to greet people, but jumping isn’t the best way to say “Hello.” When she calms down, Josie will lean against you while you pet her.

She’s a mellow dog who could do well with children 8 years an older, as long as they’re respectful of her.

The $75 adoption fee for Josie includes medical exam, spay, up to date vaccinations, registered microchip, and a one-year license if her new home is in the jurisdiction of San Diego Humane Society’s Department of Animal Services.

Special note.

You have probably heard of the Betty White Challenge to donate $5.00 to an animal shelter or pet rescue on what would have been her 100th birthday on January 17th.

Every dollar helps. You don’t need to limit your opportunity to make a difference.

When Betty White died on December 31st your Rancho Coastal Humane Society received our first $99 donation in her honor. That’s one dollar for each year of her lifetime dedication to saving pets.

You don't have to limit your donation to $5 and you don't have to wait until the 17th. Simply write “In honor of Betty White” in the Comments section when you donate online at www.sdpets.org.
