La Costa Canyon's Peter Pan Connects Community

Be a part of something extraordinary - La Costa Canyon High School's Peter Pan showcases all ages.

Unlike the typical high school musical, La Costa Canyon High School’s production of Peter Pan not only showcases talented high school students but also LCC teachers and their own children making it truly a community collaborative effort with all ages learning and sharing the magic of live theater.

The show is almost entirely student led – the choreography created and taught by two freshman, the elaborate set built by an award winning tech crew, blocking done by most of the cast, sound, lighting, props, and set moving all student handled.

It’s truly a test of leadership, collaboration, and patience with bumps and triumphs along the way. For some, it’s their first time on stage and perhaps their last, for others a confidence builder and resume add, and then there are those who hope to pursue a life in theater.

It’s not perfect and shouldn’t be as it’s a live work in progress but know you’ll be inspired, entertained as well as proud to see that LCC is a family connected to school and its community.

Remaining shows run thru April 2 with evening performances at 7 p.m. and 1 p.m. matinees this Saturday and Sunday. La Costa Canyon High School is located on One Maverick Way, Carlsbad - across from Stagecoach Park’s Community Center entrance. https://www.facebook.com/lcchstheatre/events.
