The San Diego Botanic Garden is proud to join the American Public Gardens Association and more than 550 public gardens nationwide in celebrating an annual day of awareness that honors the role public gardens play in promoting plant and water conservation, education and environmental leadership.

The 7th Annual National Public Gardens Day takes place on May 8, 2015, the Friday preceding Mother’s Day. Presented by the American Public Gardens Association (APGA), this annual day of awareness invites communities throughout the United States to explore the diverse beauty of their local green spaces and to take advantage of the conservation, education and environmental preservation resources that public gardens provide.

San Diego Botanic Garden will be offering $2 off admission and 14 months of membership for the price of 12 months for new members only on May 8th when visitors present a coupon available on the National Public Gardens Day website: nationalpublicgardensday.org.

The 2015 National Public Gardens Day will be celebrated by more than 550 North American botanic gardens, arboreta, museums, zoos and entertainment gardens. National Public Gardens Day was created to highlight the importance of building sustainable environments through plant and water conservation, education and community engagement.
