MiraCosta College’s Community Education Program is offering the following noncredit courses this spring:
Lean Manufacturing I: Lean Manufacturing is the systematic method for eliminating waste within a manufacturing system. This initial course will consist of 5S, 8 wastes, deep observation, value stream mapping, A3 one-page corrective action reports, and Kaizen events. This course provides practical application of LEAN tools that anyone can use to identify and minimize waste in their own area of control. This two-day class is offered on four different weekends, 9 a.m.–4 p.m., 1/23 & 1/24, 2/27 & 2/28, 4/23 & 4/24 or 5/21 & 5/22 at the Technology Career Institute, 2075 Las Palmas Drive, Carlsbad.
