1. Encinitas Oktoberfest To Celebrate 30 Years With German Food, Beer And Family Fun (patch.com) — Encinitas is gearing up for the 30th annual Oktoberfest on Sept. 27, transforming Mountain Vista Drive into a Bavarian-style street fair with German food, beer and live entertainment. Residents can enjoy a kids' zone, dog costume contest, stein-holding competitions and a nod to Olivenhain's German roots, with free shuttles and bike valet making it easy to join the fun.

2. Encinitas property draws citations, possible legal action (thecoastnews.com) — City officials in Encinitas are weighing legal action over a Playa Riviera Drive parcel where people appear to be living among RVs, shipping containers, heavy machinery, and other equipment near Interstate 5. After resident complaints, code enforcement has issued citations and referred the case to the city attorney, who says further action is imminent while neighbors remain divided over the property's use.

3. City of Encinitas set to discuss how to move forward with possible red-light cameras (10news.com) — Encinitas officials are weighing whether to bring back red-light cameras at city intersections, a move supporters say could prevent deadly crashes like the one that killed 12-year-old Emery Chalakian. The City Council will decide how to direct staff on costs, fines, and how many intersections could be covered, while advocates from Safe Streets Encinitas continue pushing for stronger traffic enforcement.

4. Encinitas Chamber Honors 5 High School Seniors As Rising Stars (patch.com) — Encinitas is spotlighting its next generation of leaders as the Chamber of Commerce honors five high school seniors for academics, character, and community service at its first Rising Star breakfast of the school year.
