Rosie is Your Rancho Coastal Humane Society Pet This Week

She likes dogs better.

(RCHS - Mark Viguri)

Rosie is pet of the week at your Rancho Coastal Humane Society. She’s a 1-year-old, 8-pound, female, Domestic Short Hair cat with a Calico coat.

Rosie’s owner surrendered her to Rancho Coastal Humane Society because her other cats didn’t want Rosie living there. Rosie got along fine with the owner’s dogs.

She’s friendly, playful, curious, vocal, outgoing, confident, and independent. She snuggles and gives kisses. Rosie is a sassy sweetheart.

Special note. November is Adopt a Senior Pet Month. There are lots of advantages to adopting a senior pet:

  • You know what you’re getting.
  • Training is usually easier.
  • Seniors pets are super loving, and it’s an honor to deserve their love.
  • Senior pets usually settle into their new homes more quickly.
  • You’re still making a lifetime commitment when you adopt a senior pet, but it isn’t going to be as long as a kitten or puppy.
  • You can match a senior with your activity level.
  • When you adopt a senior pet…you’re a hero!
  • Every day with a senior pet brings you new blessings.

Adoption fees for senior dogs and cats (seven or more) are only $75 at Rancho Coastal Humane Society. With the "Seniors-For-Seniors” pet adoption program, there’s no fee for a person 60 or older when they adopt a pet that is 7 years or older. Please consider adopting a gently used, recycled, senior pet.

For more information about pet adoption call 760-753-6413, log on to www.sdpets.org, or meet them face to furry face at 389 Requeza Street in Encinitas.
