San Elijo Lagoon is a Host Site for CA Coastal Cleanup Day
Volunteer to help remove debris and invasive plants on September 20: 9 am-12 Noon

LAGOON PLATOON (San Elijo Lagoon Conservancy) and I LOVE A CLEAN SAN DIEGO: September 20, 2014
It’s not just debris that accumulates in our coastal waterways and beaches. If not kept in check, invasive plants can overwhelm habitats relied upon by native animals. San Elijo Lagoon Conservancy is partnering with I Love a Clean San Diego to accomplish both invasive plant and debris removal during the 30th annual California Coastal Cleanup Day on September 20 from 9 am-12 noon.
Participants will take part in a worldwide citizen science project as they record each piece of debris removed during the cleanup. See debris trends in 2014 data compiled by Ocean Conservancy.
