Thousands Without Power In Encinitas
SDG&E crews have found a need to repair equipment.

ENCINITAS, CA – Thousands of customers are without power Tuesday in and around Encinitas, according to San Diego Gas & Electric.
SDG&E reported on its outage map that 3,029 customers have no power around Encinitas, Cardiff-by-the-Sea, Olivenhain, Rancho Santa Fe and the San Elijo Lagoon.
San Diego County remained under a red flag warning Tuesday, with the National Weather Service forecasting strong Santa Ana winds along with low humidity. As a precaution, utility officials have shut off power to thousands of customers in the region.

The Encinitas outage, however, is not due to the public safety power shut-off, according to the outage map.

The outage started at 6:33 a.m. SDG&E crews have found a need to repair equipment. Power is expected to be restored by 9:30 a.m.
