Off Track Gallery Artists' Reception

The San Dieguito Art Guild invites the public to an artists’ reception honoring Karen Fidel, pottery; and Lynn Ely, fiber arts. Karen Fidel loves to make wheel-thrown pottery then alter them by hand and add natural organic elements, such as rocks, driftwood, and shells. Most of her pottery has natural color glazes, which are all lead free, food safe, dishwasher safe, microwaveable and oven proof.

Lynn Ely says, “Line, form, texture and color all come into play as I shape a new project. The challenge in building these creations is an unending joy. In working with pine needles I am discovering the positive and the negative spaces that are the perimeters and the heart of the piece. These spaces are fascinating because they themselves create more space for me to work with. I can decide whether to fill a space, or leave it empty.” Wine and refreshments will be served at the reception. In addition all artwork in the Gallery will be 10% the entire day. Business hours — from 10am to 6pm.
