Upgrades Coming To Encinitas Dog Park

Encinitas received a $5,000 grant for new commercial-grade dog park equipment and amenities at the Maggie Houlihan Memorial Dog Park.

ENCINITAS, CA – Upgrades are coming to the Maggie Houlihan Memorial Dog Park, thanks to a $5,000 grant through PetSafe's "Bark for Your Park" campaign.

The annual campaign helps fund new dog park construction, maintenance and equipment upgrades. Encinitas is just one of 25 cities across the country to receive the grant this year. The company received 215 applications.

"The goal of 'Bark for Your Park' has always been to help communities become better places to live for people and their pets," said Willie Wallace, CEO of Radio Systems Corporation, parent company of PetSafe. "Finding a pet-friendly community is more important than ever. Dog parks are the second must-have amenity people search for when looking for a new city to call home."
