Wine and Cheese Social for Brain Health

With brain health being so important to most of us and with a growing body of evidence that volunteering positively affects brain functioning, you will be delighted to learn that the members of Assistance League® of Rancho San Dieguito (ALRSD) are anxious to share with you a fun and emotionally fulfilling way to achieve and maintain brain health.

There are many things we would all like to have as we grow older and brain health is probably at the top of everyone’s list. A recent Google search for the benefits of volunteering in maintaining brain health as we age yielded 18 pages of links! According to the National Institute on Aging, “Brain health refers to the ability to remember, learn, play, concentrate and maintain a clear, active mind. It's being able to draw on the strengths of your brain—information management, logic, judgment, perspective and wisdom. Simply, brain health is all about making the most of your brain and helping reduce some risks to it as you age.”

Joining Assistance League of Rancho San Dieguito has many benefits beyond brain health. Volunteering with us will connect you to your community. You will meet different kinds of people, make new friends and have fun all while making a positive difference in people’s lives.
