24Hr HomeCare Owner and Co-Founder Ryan Iwamoto Wins 2013 Los Angeles Business Journal Asian Business Award

LOS ANGELES – Ryan Iwamoto, a West Los Angeles native and a fourth generation Japanese-American, won the 2013 Asian Business Award, presented by the LA Business Journal and the Asian Business Association to recognize exemplary leadership in the Asian business community.  Iwamoto is the owner and co-founder of 24Hr HomeCare, one of Los Angeles’ leading providers of in-home care for seniors. The win marks yet another prestigious achievement for a company that has built strong momentum and grown at a staggering rate since its founding four years ago.

Iwamoto’s award reflects his strength as a member of the Asian business community in Los Angeles, as well as his remarkable success leading 24Hr HomeCare’s rapid rise in the healthcare sector along with his two co-founders.

“I couldn’t imagine having a better business partner than Ryan,” said David Allerby, CEO and co-founder of 24Hr HomeCare. “He’s a highly motivated professional, a great leader and most importantly, an outstanding mentor for our staff, and other young professionals who aspire to do what he’s done.”

The Asian Business Awards, presented annually by the LA Business Journal and the Asian Business Association, are given to individuals who distinguish themselves by setting an example for excellence in LA’s Asian business community. Iwamoto and 24Hr HomeCare took home the award in the category for businesses with $10-50 million in annual revenue.

“As a company, we wouldn’t be where we are today without Ryan’s passion, and his dedication to our company,” said Tyner Brenneman-Slay, 24Hr HomeCare COO and co-founder. “Ryan’s leadership has been critical to what we’ve accomplished, and as his business partner, I’m proud to see him win this recognition from his peers in the local Asian business community.”

For Iwamoto, the recognition reflects 24Hr HomeCare’s strength as a team as much as his own individual strength as a leader.

“As a Japanese-American with very close ties to my heritage, I am honored to be recognized as a leader in the local Asian business community,” Iwamoto said. “In my mind, this was a win for the team. Everything we have accomplished at 24Hr HomeCare, we have accomplished together through dedicated teamwork and collaborative problem-solving. This award belongs to all of us.”
