Scarlet is a bright, driven, and endlessly creative young student from Encino who is gaining momentum as she competes in the national “America’s Favorite Student” contest—an opportunity that celebrates students who stand out not only for their achievements, but for their character, curiosity, and impact on others.
Scarlet is a dynamic and driven young student who embodies curiosity, creativity, and compassion in everything she does. In the classroom, she is known for asking thoughtful questions and diving deep into learning, always eager to better understand the world around her. Her natural curiosity fuels a passion for knowledge that extends far beyond textbooks, shaping how she approaches everything she does.
Outside of school, her talents span a wide range of activities. Scarlet is a competitive softball pitcher, demonstrating focus, resilience, and leadership on the field. In the world of art, she has already earned recognition for her creativity, producing award-winning pieces that reflect both imagination and skill. As a gymnast, she maintains strength and fearlessness while performing advanced skills like aerials and back handsprings with confidence.
But what truly sets Scarlet apart is not just what she does—it’s how she shows up in every space she’s in. She is known among family, friends, and teachers as someone who brings light, laughter, and kindness wherever she goes. Whether she’s encouraging a teammate, helping out a friend, or simply making someone smile, Scarlet leads with heart.
Her creativity is limitless. Scarlet loves building and designing—bringing ideas to life through art and hands-on projects. From creating a working vending machine out of a cardboard box to designing dresses out of bubble wrap, she thrives on innovation and problem-solving. She also has a deep love for dinosaurs and dragons, reflecting her vivid imagination and sense of wonder.
The “America’s Favorite Student” competition offers a unique opportunity for the winner, including a tour of The Planetary Society with Bill Nye, The Science Guy, a two-page feature in Reader’s Digest, and $20,000 to support educational goals.
