Halloween at the Dog Park

Come out and join the fun.  The Department of Recreation and Parks and volunteers from the Sepulveda Basin Off Leash Dog Park Advisory Board are holding a Halloween Bash on Sunday, October 30th from 3-5pm, registration begins at 2:30pm. The event includes a doggie costume contest, park clean up and a free Halloween photo area for the dogs.

Festivities kick off with a monster park clean up from 3pm-4pm. Volunteers will have a howling good time filling holes, clean the chairs and benches and  clearing the grounds of anything that isn’t supposed to be.

At 4pm dogs of all sizes will compete for top dog honors in the Halloween costume contest. The costume categories include Spookiest, Most Original and Judges’ Choice. The winner of each category will go on to compete for Best in Show.

From 3-5pm participants can have their dog’s picture taken in costume—or without!  Don’t delay, schedule your appointment today!!

All park clean up and costume contest participants will be entered into a drawing for a door prize. Pre-register by 10/26 and receive and extra entry to win!

Dogs must be licensed (including spayed/ neutered), current on their vaccinations, both dog and people friendly.  All dogs must be leashed throughout the event.
