"TRIAL BY JURY" and "THE ZOO" - two classic gems of musical comedy

"Trial by Jury" and "The Zoo" are two musical theatre gems by Gilbert & Sullivan / Sullivan & Rowe, each one-act long.  Performances are March 8 - 24, Fridays & Saturdays at 8:00 pm, Sundays at 2:00 pm, and one Thursday (March 21) at 8:00 pm.  The shows include a large cast, gorgeous costumes, stunning sets and live music by a 5-piece band.

TRIAL BY JURY finds a bride and her bridesmaids in court with a breach of promise of marriage suit against her former groom.  The judge seems to have a bit of an eye for the bride, so how will the groom fare in this famous one act comedy, the first by Gilbert & Sullivan?

THE ZOO takes place in the London Zoo beside the Bear Pit, just outside of the refreshment stand. Two forlorn lovers, one Duke in disguise as a commoner in search of a virtuous lover, the object of his affection, and a retired grocer are the focus of this Sullivan-without-Gilbert one act. A long rope and the bear pit play an integral part in the fate of one of them.
