Valley Acting Coach Convicted of Molesting Student
Jurors, found Cameron Thor guilty of driving a 13-year-old girl into the mountains and sexually assaulting her.

An acting coach was convicted today of committing a lewd act on a 13-year-old girl who had taken classes from him.
Jurors, who deliberated about a day before returning their verdict against 55-year-old Cameron Thor, also found true an allegation of substantial sexual conduct. Thor ran the Carter Thor Studio in Studio City.
The teen -- who took private classes from Thor at his Agoura Hills home - - was driven by the defendant to the Santa Monica Mountains, where the crime occurred in March 2009, according to Deputy District Attorney Simone Shay.

Thor’s attorney could not be reached for immediate comment on the case.
Thor is facing up to eight years in state prison, with sentencing set for Oct. 9 at the Van Nuys courthouse.
