Earthquake In Riverside County Rattles San Diego Region

BREAKING: The quake struck at 4:23 p.m.​ Did you feel it?

RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA – An earthquake centered in Riverside County rattled the San Diego region Thursday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The 3.5-magnitude quake struck at 4:23 p.m. The earthquake had a depth of 6.5 kilometers and its epicenter was about 13 miles east-southeast of Anza, a census-designated place in southern Riverside County, and 42 miles east-northeast of Escondido.

People across Riverside and San Diego counties reported feeling the quake, according to the USGS. The quake was felt in Borrego Springs, Palm Springs, Escondido, Temecula, Poway, San Diego, San Marcos, La Mesa and other cities throughout the region.
