Elderly Escondido Motorcycle Crash Victim IDed
Authorities released the name Tuesday of a man who was killed Saturday when the three-wheel motorcycle he was riding crashed into a car.

ESCONDIDO, CA - A 79-year-old man killed when the three-wheel motorcycle he was riding crashed into a car in Escondido over the weekend has been publicly identified.
Gerald Burnham of Escondido died shortly after his 2008 Honda Gold Wing motorcycle and a 2013 Toyota Prius collided at the intersection of Country Club Lane and North Broadway around 9:40 a.m. Saturday, according to police and the county Medical Examiner's Office. It remains unclear which motorist was at fault in the crash.
An off-duty paramedic witnessed the accident and provided first aid to Burnham, who was ejected, until fire personnel arrived and took over. However, Burnham died at the scene from multiple blunt force injuries, authorities said.

The 44-year-old Escondido man behind the wheel of the Prius was not injured, according to police.
