Crews Contain Vegetation Fire In Escondido
Crews are expected to remain in the area through the afternoon to mop up the scene.

ESCONDIDO, CA – Crews have contained a vegetation fire that sparked Tuesday afternoon in Escondido.
The blaze broke out just before 2:30 p.m. in the area of El Norte Parkway and Morning View Drive, according to the city of Escondido. The fire has since been contained, but crews were expected to remain in the area through the afternoon to mop up the scene.
El Norte Parkway has been reopened in both directions, according to the city. Morning View Drive remained closed to traffic.

Smoke was also visible Tuesday from a brush fire in Fallbrook. As of 3:30 p.m., the blaze had burned 20 acres, according to Cal Fire.
