Woman May Not Survive Injuries After Fight With Brother: Police
Escondido law enforcement arrested the sibling for suspicion of attempted homicide. The 27-year-old sister is hospitalized, cops said.

ESCONDIDO, CA – A 27-year-old woman may not survive injuries sustained in Escondido early Friday following a fight with her brother, who subsequently was arrested on suspicion of attempted homicide, authorities said.
Escondido police and fire crews were called at 12:45 a.m. to the 100 block of East 15th Avenue where the victim, Laura Elizabeth Bautista, was found unresponsive and taken to Palomar Hospital, the Escondido Police Department said today.
Her brother, 25-year-old Jose Enrique Bautista, was detained at the scene and arrested for suspicion of attempted homicide, police said.

"Initial information indicated Jose and Laura had been involved in a physical altercation stemming from a family argument," the department said.
Escondido detectives and the forensic services unit are investigating, officials said.

"The victim’s injuries are severe, and she is not expected to survive," police said.
No reason was given for the family dispute.
