The investigation spotlights how state credentialing rules and limited transparency can allow educators disciplined in Fairfield classrooms to continue teaching in other districts. 
• Landmark Fairfield Arch coming down in restoration effort (kcra.com) — Fairfield’s iconic arch is being taken down piece by piece for a full restoration, funded in part by the Fairfield Lions Club and supported by the city. YESCO will repaint the century-old sign, add LED lighting and new electrical components, with a grand unveiling planned during the July 4 parade.
• Vallejo police arrest numerous individuals for seeking commercial sex (thereporter.com) — Vallejo police recently arrested more than 10 people on commercial sex-related charges at Marin Street and Sonoma Boulevard, towing all involved vehicles and booking suspects into Solano County Jail.
