Be a Donor for myelodysplastic syndrome

I have a nephew who is in need of your help.  For graduation requirements he has to do a Senior Thesis Project; a project that helps out a community of thier choice. He chose "Be a Match" project. Its a life threatening illness called "myelodysplastic syndrome." In order for him to do this, he is having a donor drive this Friday, April 19,  from 8:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at The Met High School at 810 V Street, Sacramento.

To be a donor, you have to be ages 18 – 44 years old.  It will take about 15 minutes of your time to complete a registration form and a simple cheek swab. If you are a match you will be contacted and asked if you want to donate some of your marrow through a surgical bone marrow transplant that will increase a patients  chance of survival by 50%.
