Give Mother Nature A Hand! Volunteer at Wildlife Care

This non-profit provides recovery, care and release of birds and small animals injured in the human world.

Annual Wildlife Care Classes Open for Volunteers to Assist Mother Nature

The Wildlife Care Association (WCA) provides an essential service in Sacramento & Yolo Counties helping recover, heal and release small animals and birds injured in our human world. Based at 5211 Patrol Road, McClellan Park, the local non-profit depends on private donation and is powered by volunteers who care!

Orientation for facility volunteers takes place every Saturday thru April from 1-3pm. This class is free to new volunteers. These volunteers will help with animal intake, first aid, and animal feeding, maintain and operate the non-profit facility. Email - wcavolunteers@yahoo.com to register.

Classes for home rehabilitation volunteers and wildlife care begin Sunday, April 19 from 1-3pm with Microscopes! ‘Rehab’ classes continue each month thru August.

Upcoming classes include Zoonotics, Opossums, Raccoons, Raptors and Reptiles. Learn the care and feeding of wildlife! If you are not a current volunteer or not a current member of the WCA, classes are $20 and are a tax-deductible donation to Wildlife Care.
