Have you or your child been bullied?
Local writer and photojournalist is undertaking a documentary project on bullying and is looking for participants.

I am a Sacramento-based photojournalist and writer who is undertaking a documentary project on bullying. I am interviewing and photographing local youth and their families about their experiences with bulling for eventual compilation into an e-book and possible photography exhibit, exposing the life-changing impacts of bullying.
My goals are to let victims know that they are not alone; show bullies the far-reaching and often long-term effects of their behavior; and to give families insight about how others are dealing with the practical and emotional impacts of bullying. My hope is that this will also mobilize the community at-large into action, creating more effective plans of action to support victims, address culprits and promote a culture of no-tolerance both in and out of the school environment.
I want to know how and where the bullying happens, what the impact of the abuse has had on your life and what is being done by families, teachers and other authority figures to stop it.
Please send an email with your story to projectbullyCA@gmail.com. All information provided will be kept in the strictest of confidence until such time as we agree to work together.
**IMPORTANT NOTE** This is a non-profit project and participants in the project will not be paid for their time. Subjects may remain anonymous in any final artwork but must be willing to share an alias name, their age, city of residence and the details of their story plus sit for a portrait session. All participants will be expected to sign a photography release.
Thank you for having the courage to share.
