It's been a of discussion for quite some time in Carmichael and surrounding areas, so tonight at 6:30, you can get together with other concerned locals for the Fair Oaks Boulevard Corridor Plan Meeting at the . This is a public hearing designed to solicit input from concerned citizens about the future growth and restoration of . Public testimony will be heard and all are welcome to attend.
3. Lots of high school athletics are on tap in Carmichael and around the San Juan Unified School District with girls and boys basketball, as well as a few wrestling matchups. Jesuit's wrestlers take the mat at home at 6 p.m. against Pleasant Grove of Elk Grove. The Casa Roble girls basketball team heads to Rio Linda at 4 p.m. Then, the junior varsity Eagles of El Camino take on the Lancers of Cordova on the road at 4:15 p.m., with the varsity team hitting the floor at 7:30 p.m. The Rio Americano freshman boys basketball team is home against Whitney at 4:15 p.m., and the Mira Loma boys have games vs. Antelope at 4:15 p.m., 5:45 p.m., and 7:30 p.m., respectively, for the freshmen, JV and varsity squads. The wrestlers hit the mat as well with Casa Roble traveling to Rio Linda and Mira Loma away to face Rio Americano on its home turf. The Rio Americano varsity boys basketball team is away to face Whitney in the final district matchup for the day. Get out there tonight and cheer on your favorite local teams.

4. Ever had dreams of being a part of a theater production? Yearning for the spotlight, perhaps? Well, this is your chance. "The Foreigner,’" a comedy by Larry Shue, will take open auditions at 7:30 p.m. for various parts in a show that will play from April 1-10. Being a part of a play is a great way to share your love for drama and theater, socialize and have a lot of fun. This production is taking place in Winters, a short drive from Carmichael at 201 Railroad Ave. If you don’t feel like taking the stage, then you can always help out with designing costumes, selling tickets or helping out in the kitchen.
