• 1 person hospitalized after Fair Oaks apartment fire (fox40.com) — A late-night apartment fire on Fair Oaks Boulevard sent one resident to the hospital with burn injuries, though he is expected to recover and the blaze was quickly contained. Fire crews say working smoke alarms are critical and urge Fair Oaks households to test them monthly, install them on every level, and keep them inside and outside all sleeping areas.
