Early morning crash in Sonoma County was unavoidable, CHP said. Motorist was not injured, but power pole downed.

A Sacramento man escaped injury when his vehicle crashed into a dead boar on state Highway 28 in northeast Sonoma County this morning, the California Highway Patrol said.
The 35-year-old man was driving a Mazda 3 west on state Highway 128 near La Franci Creek in Knights Valley when he hit the boar around 6:30 a.m., CHP Officer Jon Sloat said.
The driver couldn’t avoid hitting the dead animal in the road and lost control of his vehicle, which then struck and knocked over a utility pole, Sloat said.
