The report, compiled from Folsom Police Department records, is meant to keep the community informed about current crime trends and locations.
   

• Folsom police to clear homeless encampment along Humbug-Willow Creek Trail (kcra.com) — Folsom police will clear a long-standing homeless encampment along the Humbug-Willow Creek Trail this Thursday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., using helicopters to remove debris from the steep terrain. People living there say they’ve been warned they could be arrested for trespassing if they stay, and nearby volunteers worry about whether enough local services exist to help them transition.
   

• BYU makes strong impression on '27 QB Brody Rudnicki before commitment (usatoday.com) — Folsom High School quarterback Brody Rudnicki, a three-star 2027 recruit, is set to announce his college commitment on Wednesday, choosing between Utah, Cal and BYU. After a final official visit, he praised BYU’s locker room culture and coaching staff, as the Cougars hope to pair him with current Folsom passer Ryder Lyons in back-to-back recruiting classes.
