• Fontana welcomes new police officers, firefighters (fontanaheraldnews.com) — Fontana has just sworn in eight new firefighters and four new police officers, including one longtime local who will serve at Station 77 in the city. City leaders praised the recruits’ intensive training and commitment to serving residents, and reminded the public that council meetings remain at the Steelworker’s Auditorium and are livestreamed while City Hall is under construction. 
• Fontana approves truck sales, repair facility (fontanaheraldnews.com) — Fontana’s Planning Commission has approved a 29,000-square-foot truck sales and repair facility on Boyle Avenue, aimed at serving trucking and logistics businesses in the city’s southern area. The project, exempt from CEQA review, includes office space, six service bays, and freeway-visible frontage, and commissioners confirmed repairs will be general mechanical work only.
• MCJROTC cadets earn Naval scholarships (fontanaheraldnews.com) — Fontana High School’s MCJROTC program is celebrating two standout cadets who’ve earned major Naval scholarships, together worth more than half a million dollars. Stephanie Mendoza and Yamileth Velasco, both deeply involved in FOHI academics and leadership, were recently honored on campus, highlighting Fontana Unified’s growing reputation for preparing students for military and college success.
