• A Mendocino County Stream Just Got a New Name After the Original Was Deemed Offensive (activenorcal.com) — A creek just south of Fort Bragg has been officially renamed Stanley Creek, honoring lifelong Fort Bragg resident and tribal leader Clyde Stanley while removing an offensive term. The change is tied to a Caltrans Highway 1 project that will replace a culvert with a new bridge, improving fish passage, road shoulders, and pedestrian access near Tregoning Drive.
