Auxiliary Ladies Serving Up Cheer
Busy volunteer month at the Menlo Park and Palo Alto VA facilities doesn't slow down these ladies.
On Saturday, December 12, 2015, members of the American Legion Auxiliary’s San Mateo Unit 82 and Foster City’s Peninsula Thunder soccer team passed out handmade holiday cards, delivered gifts, and served dessert to veteran residents at the VA medical facility in Menlo Park. This is the fifth year of the team’s partnership with the Auxiliary.
As with previous years, the Auxiliary decorated the Palo Alto VA Hospital’s polytrauma unit for the holidays.
This coming Thursday, the ladies will be offering complimentary gift-wrapping for veteran families at the Menlo Park facility from 8am-12noon. If you’d like to learn more about the Auxiliary and their good work, write to AmerLegionAuxUnit82[at]gmail.com.
