City of Angels: Set in the glamorous, seductive Hollywood of the 1940s - the world of film studios and even filmier negligees - this show is two stories occurring simultaneously. The first is a Hollywood comedy, and the second, a detective drama. The “real-life” scenes are in color, and the “reel-life” scenes in black and white. The show chronicles the misadventures of Hollywood author Stine, and his alter-ego Stone, a detective who sidles through a Hollywood netherworld of vicious thugs and femmes fatales. City of Angels is the first Broadway musical hit to have a full-blown jazz score. You’ll swing all the way home!
