Humbled and Honored Family Matters

It was a beautiful Sunday afternoon. Waterfront Pizza closed its doors for a special event. The call to action for the families of Foster City. It was the launch of our campaign to reach all of Foster City with our vision for the future. Hundreds attended the event and children painted a huge banner celebrating the start of our momentous journey. Our core group of 100 volunteers were joined by 50 new members who will donate their time and financial support to the task at hand.

I was overwhelmed by the level of enthusiasm and energy of our supporters. They shared their thoughts about our wonderful city, schools, parks, and community. Seniors citizens came to meet us and share their experiences about the Foster City they built through their years of community service. 

A young student from Bowditch spoke eloquently about her life here in our community. Parents from our elementary schools spoke about what is possible for the future our our children with cooperation, vision, and follow-through.

I am more committed than ever to hearing from all of you as we continue to build a consensus of support for our City, our children, and our families. Together we can shape a future that we will be proud to leave as a legacy for our children just as the founder of our City left for us. Family Matters.
