T. Jack Foster Talks Foster City
T. Jack Foster Talks Foster City to the Rotary Club of Foster City. He will be a speaker at the Foster City Village Vendor & Resource Faire at the Crowne Plaza on May 24th.

The Rotary Club of Foster City was pleased to enjoy T. Jack Foster as he talked about Foster City today. He shared stories about the forming of Foster City and that the property had originally been owned by the Leslie Salt Co. and affiliated with Shilling. He said that it would be a good idea to connect Redwood Shores to Foster City but it probably would never happen. I asked Jack what he thought of the new 15 acre project and ever the diplomat, he said, "The City Council will make good decisions" and that he "Is always in favor of progress." When asked about his father he got choked up when he said how great he was and Foster City Rotarian, Foster's daughter, Lee, came to the podium and shared stories with her Dad about her grandfather. He used to squirt water at her through a quarter and then give her a regular quarter to try and figure out where the water was coming from Lee remembered fondly. Jack mentioned that there is much in his new book about his father and his brother's beginnings of Foster City. When someone from the club wanted to take his picture, he said, "My father always said that 'it doesn't matter how you look, as long as you get your picture took'" to the groups amusement.
Jack Foster will be one of the speakers at the Foster City Village & Resource Faire at the Crowne Plaza on Friday, May 24th from 11:00 to 2:00pm.
