Citizen Advisory Committees Seeking Applicants

The city is looking for residents to serve full or partial terms on several Citizen Advisory Committees

The City of Foster City is looking for residents interested in learning more about serving full or partial terms on the following Citizen Advisory Committees:

  • Ad Hoc Environmental Sustainability Task Force, which meets every second Thursday of the month at 6:30 p.m.
  • Arts and Culture, which meets third Tuesday of the month at 7:15 p.m.
  • Audit, meets in April and November at 7 p.m.
  • Information Technology, which meets every second Tuesday of the month at 7 p.m.
  • Noise Abatement  (Airplane), which meets every second Thursday bi-monthly at 7 p.m.
  • Parks and Recreation, which meets first Wednesdays of the month at 6:30 p.m.
  • Senior Citizen, which meets every third Wednesdays at 4 p.m.

Interested applicants should submit applications to the City Clerk at City Hall by 5 p.m. on October 22. Applicants for all committees are required to attend the November committee in which they are applying and will be notified to attend either the December 6 or December 20 City Council meeting for official appointment. All applicants will be interviewed by the committee and by the City Council on a first-come, first-served basis.
