City Council Passes $200K for Foster City Residents Who Install Solar

Only resident-owned systems are eligible for the funding, city officials said.

FOSTER CITY, CA – Foster City's City Council authorized $200,000 of rebates for residents who install solar photovoltaic technology on their homes, city officials said Monday.

Each household that installs the technology is eligible for a $1,000 rebate on a first-come, first-served basis, until the funding source is exhausted.

Only resident-owned systems are eligible for the funding, city officials said.

Residents interested in applying for a rebate can do so at http://www.fostercity.org or at the building permit counter at City Hall.
