UPDATED: All Lanes of Highway 101 in San Mateo Open After Fatal Crash

The crash occurred just after 5 p.m. Thursday.

8 p.m., All lanes of southbound U.S. Highway 101 have reopened following a fatal crash in San Mateo this evening.

Several southbound lanes were closed to traffic and reopened at around 7:30 p.m.

7 p.m. Two southbound lanes of U.S. Highway 101 remain closed near East Poplar Avenue tonight as emergency crews respond to a fatal crash.

A motorcyclist was killed in the crash, which was reported at around 5 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
