Last Chance: Free Admission to San Mateo County History Museum

Our new feature lets you know about important upcoming deadlines.

This Friday is your last chance this month to get to the . Admission to all visitors will be free during the museum’s regular business hours (10 a.m. to 4 p.m.).

The San Mateo County History Museum preserves the dynamic and diverse history of the county inside the old San Mateo County Courthouse.

The site is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Inside, the museum hosts exhibits as well as regular tours, lectures, discussions and family and educational programs.

Exhibits feature interactive kiosks, video cameras, microphones and learning-lab gadgets for an interactive experience. The museum is also available to rent for special occasions like banquets and weddings.
