This week, the California High Speed Rail Authority .
“Public participation will start to take place,” Deputy Executive Director Jeff Barker said. “This is the opening the door process for businesses and they can help shape the project.”
The ongoing High Speed Rail project has become a controversial issue across the Bay Area. Several nearby towns projected to be on the railway, including Burlingame and Belmont, have spoken out openly against the project. While the railways is not expected to go through Foster City, it is likely to affect nearby towns and businesses.
