Rain, Thunderstorm Predicted To Hit Foster City

If you're planning your week on the Peninsula, be sure those plans include an umbrella. Forecasters are calling for rain throughout much of the work week. And though Tuesday is expected to be mostly dry and mild, a change is coming Wednesday.

"A pattern change will bring periods of rain to the region from late Wednesday through the end of the week," the NWS forecast discussion said. "Showers may linger into Saturday, but for the most part the upcoming weekend looks dry."

A chance of rain, then rain and possibly a thunderstorm after 4pm. High near 58. Northwest wind around 6 mph becoming light and variable in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Rain and possibly a thunderstorm before 10pm, then a chance of rain. Low around 54. East southeast wind 5 to 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
