Anaheim Man Who Surrendered To Police Charged With Wife's Murder: Police
He exited the vehicle "holding his 6- to 8- month-old daughter, pleading with an officer to shoot him," Police said.

ANAHEIM, CA — A 27-year-old man was charged Monday with the murder of his girlfriend, who was stabbed to death in their Anaheim apartment last week.
Frank Moseley, who also faces a sentence-enhancing allegation of the personal use of a deadly weapon, allegedly stabbed 25-year-old Janessa Smith on Thursday afternoon, Anaheim police Sgt. Daron Wyatt said.
Moseley came to the attention of police at just before 1:45 p.m. Thursday when he drove his car in front of an officer driving south on Wilshire Street north of Lincoln Avenue, Wyatt said.

Moseley exited the vehicle, holding his 6- to 8- month-old daughter, pleading with an officer to shoot him, Wyatt said in a Facebook release.
"Moseley then told the officer he had killed his wife at the apartment on Wilken Way. The officer involved used incredible restraint in dealing with the situation and was able to convince Moseley to put the baby down and take Moseley into custody," Wyatt said.

While officers were responding to Wilken Way, a 911 call was received indicating unknown persons were performing CPR on a female who was down inside the apartment according to Anaheim Police statements.
Smith was found, deceased inside the residence, the victim of an apparent stabbing.
The baby was determined to be the couple’s child and was in protective custody at Orangewood Children’s Home.
The motive for the killing is under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call Orange County Crime Stoppers at 855-TIP-OCCS.
