Man Arrested for Indecent Exposure on OC Bus [VIDEO]

The Orange County Sheriff's Department Transit Authority is seeking additional victims. Have you seen this man?

FOUNTAIN VALLEY, CA — A high-risk sex offender out on parole was arrested following a report of indecent exposure on a North Orange County bus.

The suspect, who was seen on closed circuit video riding on buses across North Orange County and is suspected of committing multiple counts of indecent exposure.

"Orange County Sheriff’s deputies assigned to the Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) Right of Way team arrested 37-year-old Stephen Ponte Garcia on Tuesday on charges related to multiple incidents involving indecent exposure," OCSD pubic affairs manager stated in recent release.

Garcia was arrested after a warrant was obtained for his arrest following a three-week investigation.
An anonymous tip in September, regarding an unknown person indecently exposing himself while riding an OCTA transportation bus, was the first of many incidents according to the Transportation Authority.

The Right of Way team initiated an investigation, which included reviewing bus surveillance video.

"During the investigation, Garcia was identified as the suspect who indecently exposed himself on at least four different occasions while riding on the bus throughout north Orange County," Braun's report stated. "Garcia would sit at the rear of the bus and indecently expose himself to female passengers. At least one of the female passengers has been identified, but wishes to remain anonymous."

Garcia was on parole at the time and is registered as a high risk sex offender.

"Based on Garcia’s repeated indecent exposure incidents, deputies believe there may be additional victims," she wrote.

Garcia was booked into the Orange County Jail for CPC 314 (indecent exposure) and is ineligible for bail.
