Breakout! Disneyland's New Guardians Of The Galaxy Ride Opens May 27

ANAHEIM, CA — Disneyland Resort fans longing for Star Wars Land to open, or for another ride to alleviate wait-time for rides can breathe easy. Opening May 27, Disneyland California https://patch.com/california/f... is premiering the summer of heroes, and along with it, a revamped ride to get your pulse pounding.

This summer you can hop back on Disneyland's newest ride, Guardians of the Galaxy Mission: BREAKOUT!

It's a whole new look and feel for the old Tower of Terror building site, and an extension of Marvel at Disneyland Resort.

Disneyland Wednesday announced a limited opening May 26, and a grand opening for the public on May 27 opening date for its "Guardians of the Galaxy Mission: BREAKOUT!" attraction.

Though many fans claim that the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror will be forever missed, if the Imagineers at Disneyland Resort have anything to say about it, Guardians of the Galaxy Mission: BREAKOUT! will be the talk of the town soon.

Guardians of the Galaxy -- Mission: BREAKOUT! will feature characters from the movie based on a Marvel comic book series.

Mission: BREAKOUT! will take guests at Disney California Adventure park through the fortress-like museum of the mysterious Collector, who is keeping his newest acquisitions, the Guardians of the Galaxy, as prisoners.

"Guests will board a gantry lift which launches them into a daring adventure as they join Rocket Raccoon in an attempt to set free his fellow Guardians," Disney said.

The epic new adventure blasts guests straight into the Guardians of the Galaxy story for the first time, alongside characters from the blockbuster films and comics.

"As guests join Rocket in his attempt to bust his pals out of the Collector's Fortress, they' ll experience randomized ride experiences complete with new visual and audio effects and music inspired by the popular film soundtracks," Disney said.
