PHOTOS: Fun with Toilets and Recycling

You don't see many people playing with toilets, but on Saturday some local utilities workers let kids do just that.

The Orange County Sanitation District and the Orange County Water District held their community open house from 10 p.m. to 2 p.m. this weekend.

The event at 18700 Ward Street included free backpacks and tours, presentations and, of course, water and toilet-related games.

“We wanted the public to have an opportunity to see what goes on,” said Sonja Wassgren Morgan, sanitation district spokeswoman. “It’s so exciting to see everyone here."
