When's the first day of school in Fountain Valley? Plus, other must-know dates for students, parents, and teachers.
FOUNTAIN VALLEY, CA — The Fountain Valley Unified School District will welcome students back to school on Sept. 4, in either a date to dread or one to look forward to.
Either way, it's a traditional date that's instrumental in a child's development. Teachers will report the week prior.
There is no school for students on Sept. 2 for the Labor Day holiday. Other significant dates include:

- Staff Development days on Nov. 8
- Veterans Day on Nov. 11
- Thanksgiving Break on Nov. 25-29
- Holiday break from Dec. 23-Jan. 3, with classes resuming on Jan. 6.
