Have You Seen This Car? Fullerton Police Ask For Help ID'ing Suspect

2009 or newer, two-door Scion coupe or hatchback with possible custom, bright-white paint job, body kit and dark-tinted windows, police say.

Fullerton police Thursday asked for public help in tracking down a driver seen near a crash that killed a 23-year-old man and his 17-year-old sister last month.

Police were looking for the driver of a car seen near the Feb. 28 crash who they believe may have more information about the collision, according to Fullerton police Sgt. Jon Radus.

"A witness reported seeing a fairly unique vehicle in the area at the time of the crash," Radus said. "Investigators believe someone inside that car may have more information regarding the collision."

The car in question is a 2009 or newer, two-door Scion coupe or hatchback with what looks like a custom, bright-white paint job with a body kit and dark-tinted windows, Radus said.

The vehicle was seen westbound on Rosencrans from Camino Loma about a minute after the crash, Radus said.

Anyone who may be able to help contact the driver was asked to call Cpl. Kyle Baas at (714) 738-6815. Anonymous tips may be made through Orange County Crime Stoppers at (855) TIP-OCCS.

Oscar Diaz, 23, and his 17-year-old sister, Valeria Tinoco, both of La Habra, were killed in the crash, which happened just befor 8:45 p.m., Feb. 28, at Rosecrans Avenue and Camino Loma, according to the Orange County Coroner's Office.

The pair was killed when the 2006 black Lexus they were in crashed into a tree, Radus said. There were no other injuries reported.
