Spring Concert Series Features Local Student Musicians

To celebrate spring, the Fountain Valley Educational Foundation will be hosting an upcoming series of festival concerts, performed by Fountain Valley School District students.

"Festival of the Arts" will feature three concerts showcasing the city's young talents, with special performances by the Fountain Valley High School Concert Choir singers, Strings Ensemble, Royal Regiment marching band, drum line and color guard. 

"Each of these musical evenings is guaranteed to be the best 'free' ticket in town," said FVEF President Carla Neeld. 

Admission will be free, which was made possible due to the endless efforts of fundraising by FVEF and community support from local businesses and FVSD school PTA and PTO. And board members will be seen continuing to raise money to save for future events at each program. 

Food from Subway, Lamppost Pizza, Corner Bakery, Applebee's, Stonefire Grill and Sam's Club, will be available for purchase, and gift baskets will be raffled off, along with two grand prizes of Disneyland tickets and a B&B wine country stay valued at more than $500.

Raffle tickets for opportunity baskets will be on sale for $3 each, 4 for $10 or 10 for $20. Tickets for the grand prizes will be $10 each. All opportunity baskets will be on display at the district office or can be viewed at FVEF website. Winners do not need to be present to win, and will be contacted after the events.

Vocal Concert
Performers: FVSD third grade students, Middle School Singers and a special performance by FVHS Concert Choir singers

Orchestra Night
Performers: FVSD elementary and middle school orchestras and a special performance by FVHS Strings Ensemble

When: Wed., April 6 at 7 p.m.

Monster Concert
Performers: A collection of all FVSD musicians and special performances by FVHS Royal Regiment marching band, drum line and color guard.
