1 Dead, 1 Arrest After Fremont Fight Turns Deadly

Police were called about a fight Thursday between two men. When they arrived, one man was fatally injured.

FREMONT, CA — One man is dead and another man is in custody following a fight near Stevenson Boulevard and Paseo Padre Parkway just after 4 p.m. Thursday. In a release to the community Thursday night, police said, "There are no outstanding suspects and no threats to the community at this time."

The Fremont Police Department was contacted by a passerby who witnessed the fight. When officers arrived they found a man lying on the ground suffering from severe injuries.

The officers, along with Fire Department personnel who were called to the scene provided emergency care, but the man was pronounced dead.

Officers found the suspect in the area and arrested him.

This is Fremont’s first homicide of 2023.
