Man Dies Days After Crash Involving Semi-Truck In Fremont: Police

This was Fremont's third traffic death of the year, according to authorities.

FREMONT, CA — A 19-year-old man who was hospitalized after a car crash in Fremont last month has died from his injuries, authorities announced Friday.

The man, who police only identified as a San Jose resident, was riding in the front passenger seat of a BMW M4 2-door coupe just before 2 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 27, according to the Fremont Police Department.

The driver of the BMW was traveling northbound on Cushing Parkway, approaching Auto Mall Parkway, when he collided with a semi-truck also crossing the intersection, police said. The crash impact, authorities say, pulled the BMW underneath the trailer.
