2 Fremont Men Arrested On Suspicion Of Armed Robbery, Carjacking
Livermore police arrested two suspects who allegedly robbed and assaulted cannabis delivery drivers at gunpoint.

FREMONT, CA — Livermore police, in cooperation with Fremont police, arrested two suspects Thursday in connection with a series of armed robberies and a carjacking last week. A 17-year-old male and 25-year-old Zulfiqar Khan, both from Fremont, were arrested Thursday on multiple felony charges, the Livermore Police Department reported.
On Wednesday, Aug. 17, two separate robberies occurred involving cannabis dispensary drivers on Alameda Drive and Cottonwood Court in Livermore. In both cases, the suspects placed a cannabis order and when they arrived to pick it up, they robbed the drivers at gunpoint. The suspects reportedly stole large amounts of cannabis products and hundreds of dollars in cash.
On Friday, Aug. 19, a cannabis driver making a delivery on Louis Court was reportedly assaulted and carjacked at gunpoint on Louis Court.

Police found the victim’s car unoccupied on Virginia Drive shortly after. Multiple cannabis items and hundreds in cash were also stolen from that car, police say.
Through leads and surveillance footage, detectives obtained arrest and search warrants for both suspects. On Thursday, the East County Tactical Team and the Fremont Police SWAT team safely took the suspects into custody on the 4200 block of Central Avenue in Fremont.

Police say they found additional evidence during the search of their homes.
The 17-year-old is on probation for possession of a firearm. Police say he had a firearm on his waistband when they arrested him. He was booked into Juvenile Hall at the Alameda County Probation Department. Khan was transported to Santa Rita Jail on multiple felony charges.
Detectives believe the suspects are responsible for similar robberies in Santa Clara and San Joaquin counties. Anyone with information is asked to call the LPD’s anonymous tip line at 925-371-4790.
